This option comes with a bit more work than buy-to-lets to ensure the letting schedule is fully booked, but the income during peak travel season might be worth the effort.
Build-to-rent
Not as well-known as the first two options, but still a good choice for investment is build-to-rent. With this option, you buy land exclusively to build a property or properties on, with the intension of letting them to tenants.
For investors with more capital to invest and who stay on top of trends in the rental market, there are plenty of ways to bring in a profit. Those looking to take advantage of shifting priorities after the pandemic might build properties with amenities that renters are clamouring for, like shared office space, fitness centres, and green space. Long-term rentals are encouraged by creating a community, netting investors a better return on their investment.
